Niantics first AR game Ingress launched November 15th 2012.

20 millions downloads to date, playwers in more than 200+ countries have participated in more than 2,000 real-world events and visited more than 1.2 billion Portals. 

Earn badges by doing various task, complete missions by navigating through particular POIs in the vicinity.

Walking and hacking POIs to obtain resonators, adding 8 resonators allows you to link it to another POI, although you will need to receive a portal key which can be a rarer from these hacks.

The main aim of the game is to create triangles linking three POIs and continuing the process to cover as much ground as possible against the opposing team.
